Allstate Insurance Claim

Filing the Claim With Allstate Insurance Provider

Allstate Insurance was founded in 1931. The company remained private until 1993 when it went public. Today, Allstate Insurance is one of the largest publicly-owned insurance companies in the United States. Allstate thrives on reinventing the idea of insurance so it can provide the best coverage it can for more than 15 million people currently insured by the company. Allstate Insurance offers coverage for life, automobile, home and more.

There is no mention of life insurance claims under the Claims tab at the top of the Allstate Insurance page. Customers can file claims for auto, home or catastrophe policies – but not a life insurance policy.

About An Allstate Insurance Life Plan

Your Allstate Life Insurance premium is billed on a monthly basis. Some plans, like the Good For Life plan, allow the customer to skip premium payments during the course of coverage. Read the terms and conditions of your Allstate Life Insurance plan for specific information on billing practices, premiums and options to skip payments. In some cases, premiums may be billed at six- or 12-month intervals if requested by the buyer.

Coverage Details

Term Life Insurance: Term coverage is purchased for 10, 15, 20 or 30 years. The term of the insurance policy refers to the time you’ll be paying premiums and receiving death benefits from the policy. Basic Term allows you to choose the payout amount – ranging from $50,000 to $150,000. True Term policies are available with a medical exam and medical questionnaire. If you are aged 18 to 45, your benefits start at $200,000 if approved. If you’re over the age of 45, your benefits will start at $50,000, but could be higher based on medical outcome.

Permanent Life Insurance: Permanent life insurance from Allstate is available in Universal, Variable Universal and Whole Life. Universal accumulates tax-deferred value. You can choose to change the policy as needed to fit your current life situation. Variable Universal allows for more cash growth than Universal Permanent life insurance. There is a higher risk of losing invested money, but also a larger profit if investments pay off. Whole Life offers lifetime benefits with a smaller premium. The premium fee never changes and case value is accumulated, though more slowly than other Permanent Life Insurance policies.

Good For Life: This bundled insurance policy offers lifetime life insurance, accident insurance and critical illness insurance in one policy. You are allowed to skip up to six premium payments during the life of the policy. When you reach age 65, you’ll receive one-half of the premiums you’ve paid over the life of the policy, plus you’ll receive a free $15,000 life insurance policy to boot.
