Filing the Claim With Aviva Insurance Provider

Beneficiaries must contact Aviva Insurance to file a claim on a life insurance policy. Agents are only available between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. CST Monday to Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST on Friday. There are no weekend hours in the claims or customer service department. When you call to file a life insurance claim, you will be asked questions about the policy holder, including date and cause of death. Documentation of death (death certificate) is required before the claim can be processed.

About An Aviva Insurance Life Plan

Payment for your Aviva Insurance life plan may be due monthly, quarterly, every six months or once a year, depending on how the account was setup. If you have your payments setup on an automatic withdrawal system, you will be notified of the upcoming withdrawal before payment is made. Payments are deducted on the same day each month.

Coverage Details

  • Term Life: This plan is ideal for people who need coverage now, but don’t have the money to spend on a universal or whole life plan. There is a death benefit attached to the plan, but term life policies have no cash value.
  • Universal Life: A universal plan is for lifetime coverage. The premium will be higher than a term life plan, but the policy does accumulate cash value that can be withdrawn.
  • Indexed Universal Life: Similar to the universal plan, but money is invested with added risk to potentially speed up cash value growth. There is a chance you could lose money with this life insurance policy.
