Coverage Details

Metlife offers various life insurance options to meet your needs.

  • Term Life:Term Life from Metlife is available for terms from one to 30 years. During the term of the policy, premiums are lower. There is no cash value accumulation and when the policy term expires, premiums may rise significantly.
  • Whole Life:Fixed premium rates for the life of the insurance policy. You can pull money off the policy as it accumulates, but borrowing money will reduce the death benefit. Costs more than term life, but premiums are constant.
  • Universal Life:Flexible life insurance policy with two options – low premium and guaranteed protection or cash accumulation. You can choose to honor the beneficiary with monthly benefits payments. The cash value of the policy may change based on interest rates. If the value falls too low, premiums will rise.
  • Variable Universal Life:Investment life insurance policy that depends on the growth of investments. Premiums may rise significantly if investments fail. Customers can skip a set number of premiums during the life of the policy, but skipping will affect cash value.
  • Survivorship Life: One policy for two people. When both people on the policy pass away the beneficiary received funds as described in the policy.

  1. I called to report a claim on April 20 (same day as accident). I received a letter indicating Claim DAD70997. I have called several times, always getting voice mail.
No adjuster, no checking if I am alright. NOTHING.
    It is May 10 today.
I need someone to call ME.

  2. I received a letter stating I can file a claim by e mail. The site tells me to download the form and mail it in. How is this filing online?

  3. This is my second day attempting to file a death claim for my 47 year brother. I called on Monday…..held on the line for 3 hours. I tried to do it online. The form that I am supposed to download was “not available”. I used to work in claims for another large insurance company and I am totally DISGUSTED with the lack of customer service. The recording just keeps saying “we at experiencing large call volumes, we appreciate your patience” Well, now I have run out of patience. This totally unacceptable. There is no estimated wait time given either. Other than completing this claim I will not recommend or ever do business with your company.
