Filing Health Insurance Claims
While many Americans don’t have health insurance coverage, new laws effective in 2014 will require all Americans to carry some form of it. That said, each company may have their own policy and process for what needs to be done to file a claim. Since policies, coverage types, and deductibles vary greatly across the board, the entire process can be quite daunting for most of us. There are many situations where your doctor’s office or hospital will file the insurance claim for you, however, there are also plenty of situations where you will be responsible for filing the claim directly with your company to ensure the debt is paid. If you have any questions about whether or not you will be responsible for filing the claim on your own, ask to speak to someone in the billing department at the facility where you will be or have recently received treatment. They will be able to tell you what they need, and this will give you a good starting ground when it is time to talk to your health insurance companies.
The great people here at My Claim Source are busy working on a list of health insurance companies, providing information about each company that will help you if you ever need to file a claim. The list below only represents a small portion of the all the insurance companies providing health coverage to individuals and families across the country. We are working to expand the list, and if your company is not currently represented, shoot us a message and be sure to check back, as chances are we are going to add it sometime in the near future. With each insurance company, we have listed the steps you need to take to start the claim filing process, along with coverage details of possible plans, as well as how to make payments on your health insurance plan, and how to contact the company via standard mail, email, by phone, or online with their website.
